How does the test work?

While the ovule installs itselfs in the mucosa of the uterus, the placenta produces the pregnancy hormone HCG (Human Chorion Gonadotropin). HCG exists in the female body only during a pregnancy. It can be detected in the blood from six to nine days after the fecundation and in urine after ca. 14 days. The pregnancy test measures the level of HCG.

You can verify if your pregnant or not beginning from the first days of the absence of your menstruation – provided your cycle works regularly.

How does the analysis work?

You should capture in a recipient the early morning urine which has been accumulated in the bladder during the night. This urin is more concentrated and contains a bigger quantity of HCG. You simply have to put the little rod of the pregnancy test in the urine. If the band in the oval opening changes its colour or a second band appears it’s very probable that you’re pregnant.

If the pregnancy test is positive you should go the the doctor’s and let him confirm the diagnosis. He will examine the blood and the urine and will make a ultrasonic testing. Moreover he will estabilsh a plan with the dates of yours furthers prenatal examinations.

Which complications can result?

If the pregnancy test is negative and you still thinik you’re pregnant you should repeat the test a few days later. It’s possible that at the beginning there wasn’t enough HCG in the urine to evoke a reaction.
